The course focuses on practical methods of museum education and provides an overview of methodological approaches to different forms of museum education, from basic guided tours to specialized programming. At each step, students will participate in various activities based on object and theatre learning. They will also learn about the roles and duties of museum docents, guides, and educators. The main goal of the course is to illustrate methodologies that are used in museum education today. Students will start by trying specific activities from the point of view of a museum visitor, and throughout the course, they will gradually gain basic museum educator skills.
